1956 में बने इस बांध से सिंचाई की जरूरतों को काफी बेहतर तरीके से पूरा किया गया है।

लोगों के विस्थापन को लेकर इस बांध पर काफी विवाद हुआ और मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक पहुंच गया।

लेकिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद लोगों के विस्थापन का मामला सुलझ गया और बांध का निर्माण भी पूरा हो गया.
