केन्या में उपराष्ट्रपति विलियम रूतो को राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में विजयी घोषित किया गया है। आधिकारिक परिणामों के अनुसार उन्होंने अपने प्रतिद्वंद्वी रैला ओडिंगा को काफी कम अंतर से हराया। रूतो को 50 दशमलव पांच प्रतिशत वोट मिले। विवादों के बीच चुनाव परिणामों की घोषणा हुई और ओडिंगा के समर्थकों ने मतगणना में धांधली का आरोप लगाया। श्री ओडिंगा के पार्टी एजेंट ने आरोप लगाया था कि चुनाव में अनियमितताएं और कुप्रबंध हुए हैं।
श्री रूतो ने दस वर्ष तक उपराष्ट्रपति के रूप में कार्य किया है।
William Ruto was declared the winner in the presidential election in Kanya
Kenya's Vice President William Ruto has been declared the winner of the presidential election. According to the official results, he defeated his rival Raila Odinga by a very small margin. Ruto got 50.5% of the votes. The election results were announced amid controversy and supporters of Odinga alleged rigging in the counting of votes. Mr. Odinga's party agent had alleged irregularities and mismanagement in the election.
Mr. Ruto has served as Vice President for ten years.
