1. अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाघ दिवस 29 जुलाई को मनाया जाता है।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाघ दिवस हर साल 29 जुलाई को जंगली बिल्लियों की घटती आबादी के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने और उनके संरक्षण के प्रयासों के लिए मनाया जाता है। इसका लक्ष्य बाघों के प्राकृतिक आवासों की रक्षा के लिए एक वैश्विक प्रणाली को बढ़ावा देना और बाघ संरक्षण के मुद्दों के लिए जन जागरूकता और समर्थन बढ़ाना है। इस वर्ष 11वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाघ दिवस है।
2. भारत सरकार ट्रांसजेंडर व्यक्तियों के लिए स्थापित करेगी गरिमा गृह।
केंद्र समुदाय आधारित संगठनों की मदद से ट्रांसजेंडर व्यक्तियों के लिए गरिमा गृह स्थापित कर रहा है। सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता राज्य मंत्री ए. नारायणस्वामी ने लोकसभा को बताया कि ट्रांसजेंडर (transgender) व्यक्तियों को सुरक्षित आश्रय प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से 12 पायलट आश्रय गृह शुरू किए गए हैं।
3. कर्नाटक बना ट्रांसजेंडर व्यक्तियों के लिए नौकरी आरक्षित करने वाला पहला राज्य।
कर्नाटक सभी सरकारी सेवाओं में ट्रांसजेंडर समुदाय (transgender community) के लिए एक प्रतिशत आरक्षण प्रदान करने वाला देश का पहला राज्य बन गया है। सरकार ने इस संबंध में उच्च न्यायालय को एक रिपोर्ट सौंपी जिसमें बताया गया कि कर्नाटक सिविल सेवा (सामान्य भर्ती) नियम, 1977 में संशोधन के बाद एक अधिसूचना पहले ही जारी की जा चुकी है।
4. आयुर्वेद को बढ़ावा देने के लिए मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने बनाई 'देवारण्य' योजना।
मध्य प्रदेश में आयुष को बढ़ावा देने और इसे रोजगार से जोड़ने के लिए सरकार ने 'देवारण्य' योजना बनाई है। यह योजना राज्य के आदिवासी क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोगों को रोजगार प्रदान करने के लिए बनाई गई है। देवारण्य योजना के माध्यम से प्रदेश में आयुष (AYUSH) दवाओं के उत्पादन के लिए एक संपूर्ण मूल्य श्रृंखला विकसित की जाएगी। इस कार्य में स्वयं सहायता समूह भी अहम भूमिका निभाएंगे।
5. RBI ने एक्सिस बैंक पर 5 करोड़ रुपये का मौद्रिक जुर्माना लगाया।
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने निजी क्षेत्र के ऋणदाता एक्सिस बैंक (Axis Bank) पर 5 करोड़ रुपये का मौद्रिक जुर्माना लगाया है। जुर्माना आरबीआई द्वारा जारी निर्देशों के कुछ प्रावधानों के उल्लंघन और गैर-अनुपालन के लिए है, 'प्रायोजक बैंकों और एससीबी/यूसीबी के बीच एक कॉर्पोरेट ग्राहक के रूप में भुगतान पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के नियंत्रण को मजबूत करना', 'बैंकों में साइबर सुरक्षा ढांचा', 'आरबीआई (बैंकों द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली वित्तीय सेवाएं) निदेश, 2016', 'वित्तीय समावेशन- बैंकिंग सेवाओं तक पहुंच- मूल बचत बैंक जमा खाता' और 'धोखाधड़ी-वर्गीकरण और रिपोर्टिंग'।
6. पेटीएम पेमेंट्स बैंक ने 1 करोड़ फास्टैग का आंकड़ा पार किया।
पेटीएम पेमेंट्स बैंक 1 करोड़ फास्टैग जारी करने का मील का पत्थर हासिल करने वाला देश का पहला बैंक बन गया है। नेशनल पेमेंट्स कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया के अनुसार, जून 2021 के अंत तक सभी बैंकों द्वारा 3.47 करोड़ से अधिक फास्टैग (FASTags) जारी किए गए थे। पेटीएम पेमेंट्स बैंक के पास अब फास्टैग जारीकर्ता बैंक के रूप में करीब 28 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी है।
7. नजीब मिकाती चुने गए लेबनान के नए प्रधान मंत्री।
अरबपति व्यवसायी नजीब मिकाती को राष्ट्रपति मिशेल आउन के साथ बाध्यकारी संसदीय परामर्श के बाद लेबनान के नए प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था।
8. हबल ने बृहस्पति के चंद्रमा गेनीमेड पर जल वाष्प का पहला प्रमाण पाया।
पहली बार, खगोलविदों ने बृहस्पति के चंद्रमा गैनिमीड के वातावरण में जल वाष्प के प्रमाण का खुलासा किया है। यह जल वाष्प तब बनता है जब बर्फ चंद्रमा की सतह से ठोस से गैस में बदल जाती है। नेचर एस्ट्रोनॉमी जर्नल में प्रकाशित इस खोज को करने के लिए वैज्ञानिकों ने नासा के हबल स्पेस टेलीस्कोप से नए और अभिलेखीय डेटासेट का इस्तेमाल किया।
9. अल्फाबेट लॉन्च करेगी इन्ट्रिन्सिक नामक नई रोबोटिक्स कंपनी।
Google-अभिभावक अल्फाबेट एक नई रोबोटिक्स कंपनी, इन्ट्रिन्सिक लॉन्च करेगी जो औद्योगिक रोबोटों के लिए सॉफ्टवेयर बनाने पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगी। यह खंड एक्स, अल्फाबेट के मूनशॉट कारखाने से बाहर आता है जिसमें वायमो, विंग और वेरीली जैसी भविष्य की फर्में हैं।
10. अर्जुन पुरस्कार विजेता बैडमिंटन लेजन्ड नंदू नाटेकर का निधन।
1956 में अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिताब जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय बने महान भारतीय बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी नंदू नाटेकर का निधन हो गया है। उन्होंने अपने 15 साल के करियर में भारत के लिए 100 से अधिक राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खिताब जीते। वह 1961 में स्थापित पहले अर्जुन पुरस्कार के प्राप्तकर्ता थे।

1. International Tiger Day is observed on 29th July.
Global Tiger Day or International Tiger Day is observed on 29th July every year to raise awareness about the declining population of wild cats and making efforts to conserve them. The goal of the day is to promote a global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues. This year marks the 11th International Tiger Day.
2. Government to set up Garima Grihas for transgender persons to provide safe shelter.
The Centre is setting up the Garima Grihas for transgender persons are with the help of community-based organizations. Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment A. Narayanaswamy informed Lok Sabha, 12 pilot shelter homes have been initiated with the aim of providing safe and secure shelter to transgender persons.
3. Karnataka becomes the 1st state to reserve jobs for transgender persons.
Karnataka has become the first state in the country to provide one per cent reservation for the ‘transgender community in all the government services. The government submitted a report to the High Court in this regard informing that a notification had already been issued after amending the Karnataka Civil Service (General Recruitment) Rule, 1977.
4. Madhya Pradesh government made ‘Devaranya’ scheme to promote Ayurveda.
In order to promote AYUSH in Madhya Pradesh and to link it with employment, the government has made the ‘Devaranya’ scheme. The scheme has been made to provide employment to the people living in the tribal areas of the state. A complete value chain for the production of AYUSH medicines will be developed in the state through Devarnya Yojana. Self-help groups will also play an important role in this work.
5. RBI imposes Rs 5-crore monetary penalty on Axis Bank.
The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 5 crore on private sector lender Axis Bank. The penalty is for contravention of and non-compliance with certain provisions of directions issued by RBI on ‘Strengthening the Controls of Payment Ecosystem between Sponsor Banks and SCBs/UCBs as a Corporate Customer’, ‘Cyber Security Framework in Banks’, ‘RBI (Financial Services provided by Banks) Directions, 2016’, ‘Financial Inclusion- Access to Banking Services – Basic Savings bank Deposit Account’ and ‘Frauds – Classification and Reporting’.
6. Paytm Payments Bank crosses 1 crore FASTags mark.
Paytm Payments Bank has become the first bank in the country to achieve the milestone of issuing 1 crore FASTags. According to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), over 3.47 crore FASTags were issued by all banks together till the end of June 2021. Paytm Payments Bank (PPBL) now has close to 28 per cent share as FASTag issuer bank.
7. Najib Mikati picked as new Lebanon’s prime minister.
Billionaire businessman Najib Mikati was appointed as Lebanon’s new prime minister-designate following binding parliamentary consultations with President Michel Aoun.
8. Hubble Finds First Evidence of Water Vapor at Jupiter’s Moon Ganymede.
For the first time, astronomers have uncovered evidence of water vapour in the atmosphere of Jupiter’s moon Ganymede. This water vapour forms when ice from the moon’s surface sublimates that turns from solid to gas. Scientists used new and archival datasets from NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope to make the discovery, published in the journal Nature Astronomy.
9. Alphabet to launch a new Robotics Company called Intrinsic.
Google-parent Alphabet will launch a new robotics company, Intrinsic which will focus on building software for industrial robots. The segment comes out of X, Alphabet’s Moonshot factory that houses futuristic firms such as Waymo, Wing and Verily.
10. Arjuna Award-winning Badminton Legend Nandu Natekar passes away.
Legendary Indian badminton player Nandu Natekar, who became the first Indian to win the international title in 1956, has passed away. He won over 100 national and international titles for India in his career spanning 15 years. He was the recipient of the first Arjuna Award, instituted in 1961.
11. Maruti Suzuki, Savitribai Phule Pune University tie-up to train youth.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced a partnership with Maharashtra’s Savitribai Phule Pune University to train youth in automobile retail. The aim is to offer a customised three years “Bachelor of Vocational Studies in Retail Management” course to students. The three-year curriculum will comprise one-year classroom training followed by two-year on-the-job training at Maruti Suzuki authorised dealerships.
