मकर संक्रांति का फसल उत्सव आज देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में मनाया जा रहा है।
Makar Sankranti signals the end of winter and the beginning of longer days.
मकर संक्रांति शीत ऋतु के अंत और लंबे दिनों की शुरुआत का संकेत देती है।
The festival is known with different names in different parts of the country. It is celebrated as Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Uttarayan in Gujarat, Bhogali Bihu in Assam and Poush Sangkranti in West Bengal.
यह त्योहार देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में अलग-अलग नामों से मनाया जाता है। तमिलनाडु में पोंगल, गुजरात में उत्तरायण, असम में भोगाली बिहू और पश्चिम बंगाल में पौष संक्रांति के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
