प्रधानमंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा योजना
पीएमएसएसवाई की घोषणा 2003 में किफायती/विश्वसनीय तृतीयक स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की उपलब्धता में क्षेत्रीय असंतुलन को ठीक करने और देश में गुणवत्तापूर्ण चिकित्सा शिक्षा के लिए सुविधाएं बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से की गई थी।
नोडल मंत्रालय: स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय।
📍दो घटक:
एम्स जैसे संस्थानों की स्थापना।
विभिन्न राज्यों में सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों का उन्नयन।
प्रत्येक मेडिकल कॉलेज संस्थान के उन्नयन की परियोजना लागत केंद्र और राज्य द्वारा साझा की जाती है।
📍स्वास्थ्य सेवा क्षेत्र से संबंधित अन्य पहल
प्रधान मंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा निधि (पीएमएसएसएन): स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा उपकर की आय से स्वास्थ्य के लिए एक एकल गैर-व्यपगत आरक्षित निधि।
पीएम आत्मनिर्भर स्वस्थ भारत योजना: केंद्रीय बजट 2021-22 में घोषित।
इसका उद्देश्य देश के अंतिम छोर तक भी प्राथमिक, माध्यमिक और तृतीयक देखभाल स्वास्थ्य प्रणालियों की क्षमता विकसित करना और देश में ही अनुसंधान, परीक्षण और उपचार के लिए एक आधुनिक पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र विकसित करना है।
आयुष्मान भारत (दो-आयामी दृष्टिकोण): स्वास्थ्य देखभाल को घरों के करीब लाने के लिए स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण केंद्रों का निर्माण
Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana
- PMSSY was announced in 2003 with objectives of correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable tertiary healthcare services and also to augment facilities for quality medical education in the country.
- Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Two Components:
Two Components- Setting up of AIIMS like institutions.
- Upgradation of government medical colleges in various states.
- The project cost for upgradation of each medical college institution is shared by the Centre and the state.
Other Initiatives Related to Healthcare Sector
- Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Nidhi (PMSSN) : A single non-lapsable reserve fund for Health from the proceeds of Health and Education Cess.
- PM Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Scheme: Announced in the Union Budget 2021-22.
- Aims to develop capacities of primary, secondary, and tertiary care health systems even in the last miles of the nation, and developing a modern ecosystem for research, testing and treatment in the country itself.
- Ayushman Bharat (a two-pronged approach): Creation of health and wellness centres to bring health care closer to homes
