केंद्रीय मंत्री ने घरेलू कामगारों पर पहले अखिल भारतीय सर्वेक्षण को झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया।

घरेलू कामगार (DWs) अनौपचारिक क्षेत्र में कुल रोजगार का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा हैं।
उनके काम करने की स्थिति और अन्य विवरणों पर पर्याप्त डेटा का अभाव है।
इसलिए, इस जानकारी के अंतर को भरने के लिए सर्वेक्षण किया जा रहा है।
इससे डेटा-संचालित नीति और सेवाओं के अंतिम छोर तक वितरण में मदद मिलने की उम्मीद है।

श्रम ब्यूरो, चंडीगढ़ द्वारा सर्वेक्षण किया जा रहा है।
घरेलू कामगारों पर अखिल भारतीय सर्वेक्षण (डीडब्ल्यू) का उद्देश्य राष्ट्रीय और राज्य स्तरों पर घरेलू कामगारों की संख्या और अनुपात, लिव-इन/लिव-आउट, औपचारिक/अनौपचारिक रोजगार, प्रवासी/ गैर-प्रवासी, उनकी मजदूरी और अन्य सामाजिक-आर्थिक विशेषताएं।
सर्वेक्षण के उद्देश्य:
राष्ट्रीय और राज्य स्तरों पर डीडब्ल्यू की संख्या/अनुपात का अनुमान लगाएं।
लिव-इन/लाइव-आउट डीडब्ल्यू का घरेलू अनुमान।
विभिन्न प्रकार के परिवारों में लगे डीडब्ल्यू की औसत संख्या।
सर्वेक्षण घरेलू विशेषताओं, जनसांख्यिकीय विशेषताओं, डीडब्ल्यू के बारे में जानकारी जैसे प्रवेश की आयु, सामाजिक समूह, प्रवासी स्थिति, शिक्षा, कार्य विवरण जैसे कार्य की अवधि, पारिश्रमिक, यात्रा की गई दूरी आदि जैसी जानकारी एकत्र करेगा।
यह नियोक्ताओं के बारे में जानकारी भी एकत्र करेगा जैसे लिंग, वैवाहिक स्थिति आदि के संबंध में डीडब्ल्यू की प्राथमिकताएं।
सभी राज्यों/केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के 742 जिलों के सर्वेक्षण के तहत अनुमानित 1.5 लाख परिवारों को शामिल किया जाएगा।

Union Minister flags off the first-ever All India Survey on Domestic Workers.
Background:
Domestic workers (DWs) constitute a significant portion of total employment in the informal sector.
There is a lack of adequate data on their conditions of work and other details.
Hence, the survey is being conducted to fill this information gap.
This is expected to help in data-driven policy and last-mile delivery of services.
Details of the survey:
The survey is being conducted by the Labour Bureau, Chandigarh.
The All India Survey on Domestic Workers (DWs) is aimed to estimate the number and proportion of domestic workers at National and State levels, percentage distribution of domestic workers with respect to Live-in/Live-out, formal/Informal Employment, Migrant/Non-Migrant, their wages and other socio-economic characteristics.
Objectives of the survey:
Estimate the number/proportion of DWs at National and State levels.
Household Estimates of Live-in/Live-out DWs.
Average number of DWs engaged by different types of households.
The survey will collect information such as household characteristics, demographic characteristics, information on DWs like age of entry, social group, migrant status, education, work details like duration of work, remuneration, distance travelled, etc.
It will also collect information on employers such as preferences of DW regarding gender, marital status, etc.
An estimated 1.5 lakh households will be covered under the survey encompassing 742 districts in all states/UTs.
