UNFCCC की स्थापना “वायुमंडल में ग्रीनहाउस गैस सांद्रता को स्थिर करने” की दिशा में काम करने के लिये की गई थी.
COP, UNFCCC का सर्वोच्च निर्णय लेने वाला प्राधिकरण है.
