The Hindu is an Indian English-language daily newspaper owned by The Hindu Group, headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It began as a weekly in 1878 and became a daily in 1889. It is one of the Indian newspapers of record and the second most circulated English-language newspaper in India, after The Times of India.

 

द हिन्दू भारत में प्रकाशित होने वाला एक दैनिक अंग्रेजी समाचार पत्र है। इसका मुख्यालय चेन्नई में है और इसका साप्ताहिक पत्रिका के रूप में प्रकाशन वर्ष 1878 में आरम्भ हुआ। यह दैनिक के रूप में वर्ष 1889 में आरम्भ हुआ। यह भारत के शीर्ष दैनिक अंग्रेजी समाचार पत्रों में से एक है।
