■ 1001 - हिंदू शासक जयपाल को आक्रमणकारी महमूद गजनी ने हराया।

■ 1095 - पोप अर्बन द्वितीय ने पहले क्रूसेड (धर्मयुद्ध) का उपदेश दिया।

■ 1237 – रोमन सम्राट फ्रेडरिक द्वितीय ने कोर्तेनुओवा के युद्ध में लोंबार्डियन लीग को हराया।

■ 1703 - पहला एडीस्टोन लाईटहाउस 1703 के महान तूफान में नष्ट हो गया।

■ 1795 - पहले बांग्ला नाटक का मंचन हुआ।

■ 1807 - पुर्तग़ाल के शाही परिवार ने नेपोलियन की सेना के भय से लिस्बन छोड़ा।

■ 1815 - पोलैंड साम्राज्य ने संविधान अपनाया। 

■ 1838 - पेस्ट्री युद्ध में फ़्रैंक बलों द्वारा मेक्सिको पर आक्रमण किया गया।

■ 1870 – पहली बार फोटोग्राफर लैडिसलॉस वीनेक ने प्राग में गिरते उल्कापिंडों का चित्र लिया (26 नवम्बर 1885 का भी वर्णन मिलता है इसलिए कन्फर्म कर लें)।

■ 1895 – अल्फ्रेड नोबेल की वसीयत के अनुसार नोबेल पुरस्कार की शुरुआत हुई।

■ 1912 - अल्बानिया ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज अपनाया।

■ 1932 - पोलैंड और तत्कालीन सोवियत संघ ने अनाक्रमण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किया।

■ 1941 – जर्मनी और सोवियत संघ के बीच द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान टैंक लड़ाई हुई। इसमें जर्मनी की पराजय होने के बाद लड़ाई बंद हुई।

■ 1949 - जबलपुर के निवासियों ने चंदा इकट्ठा करके नगरपालिका प्रांगण में सुभद्रा कुमारी चौहान जी की आदमकद प्रतिमा लगवाई जिसका अनावरण कवयित्री और उनकी बचपन की सहेली महादेवी वर्मा ने किया।

■ 1966 - उरुग्वे ने संविधान अपनाया।

■ 1967 – फ़्रांस के राष्ट्रपति चार्ल्स डी गॉल ने फिर दोहराया कि वह ब्रिटेन की सामूहिक बाज़ार की कोशिशों का विरोध करेंगे।

■ 1971 – सोवियत रूस के 'मार्स  यान द्वारा ऑर्बिटर'  मंगल ग्रह पर उतारा गया ( दिनांक अलग हो सकता है)।

■ 1975 – गिनीज़ बुक ऑफ़ रिकॉर्ड्स के सह-संस्थापक रॉस मैक्विर्टर की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई।

■ 1984 – भारत में ब्रिटेन के उप-उच्चायुक्त पर्सी नॉरिस की मुंबई में गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई।

■ 1995 - मिर वेनेजुएला जौकेलीन एग्वीलेरा मार्कानो 'मिस वर्ल्ड' 1995 चुनी गईं।

■ 1999 – हेलेन क्लार्क न्यूजीलैंड की पहली महिला प्रधानमंत्री बनीं।

■ 2000 - फ्लोरिडा में डाले गये मतों की गिनती में जार्ज बुश 537 मतों से जीते, फ्लोरिडा में जीत के बाद अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति पद पर जार्ज बुश जूनियर का दावा।

■ 2002 - बेलारूस के प्रधानमंत्री जेनेदी वी नोवित्सकी भारत यात्रा पर नयी दिल्ली आये।

■ 2004 - अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन के अध्यक्ष जुआन सोमाविया भारत यात्रा पर नई दिल्ली पहुँचे।

■ 2007 - पाकिस्तान के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति परवेज मुशर्रफ़ ने अपने सैनिक साथियों से विदाई ली।

■ 2008- छठा वेतन आयोग देने वाला उत्तर प्रदेश देश का पहला राज्य बना। 

■ 2008 - केन्द्र सरकार सर्वोच्च न्यायालय और उच्च न्यायालयों के जजों के वेतन में तीन गुना बढ़ोत्तरी को हरी झण्डी दी।

■ 2014 - आस्ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटर फिलिप ह्यूज का बाउंसर से घायल होने के बाद मौत हुई।

■ 2019 - देश का आधुनिकतम भू-पर्यवेक्षी उपग्रह कार्टोसैट-थ्री ध्रवीय कक्षा में सफलतापूर्वक भेजा गया; अमरीका के 13 नैनो सैटलाइट भी साथ में भेजे गए।

■ 2019 - बंगलादेश में विशेष ट्रायब्यूनल ने 2016 के कैफे आतंकी हमले के सात दोषियों को मौत की सजा सुनाई।

■ 2019 - संयुक्‍त अरब अमारात के राष्‍ट्रपति शेख खलीफा बिन - जाएद - अल - नाहयान ने छह सौ 62 कैदियों को रिहा करने के आदेश दिए।

■ 2020 - भारत और वियतनाम के रक्षा मंत्रियों के बीच वीडियो कांफ्रेंसिंग के जरिए द्विपक्षीय स्तर की बातचीत हुई।

■ 2020 - भारत और संयुक्त अरब अमारात ने व्‍यापक रणनीतिक, साझेदारी की समीक्षा की।

■ 2020 - कैम्ब्रिज डिक्शनरी ने 'quarantine’ शब्द को वर्ड ऑफ द ईयर 2020 का नाम दिया।

 1237 – Roman Emperor Frederick II defeats the Lombardian League at the Battle of Cortenuova.

 1703 - The first Eddystone lighthouse is destroyed in the Great Storm of 1703.

 1941 – Tank battle took place between Germany and the Soviet Union during World War II.  After the defeat of Germany in this, the fighting stopped.

 1949 - The residents of Jabalpur collected donations and installed a life-size statue of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan ji in the municipal courtyard, which was unveiled by the poetess and her childhood friend Mahadevi Verma.

 1966 - Uruguay adopts a constitution.

 ^ 1967 - French President Charles de Gaulle reiterates that he will oppose Britain's attempts at the collective market.

 1971 – The orbiter is landed on Mars by the 'Mars' spacecraft of Soviet Russia (date may be different).

 1975 – Guinness Book of Records co-founder Ross McQuirter is shot and killed.

 1984 – Percy Norris, Britain's Deputy High Commissioner to India, was shot dead in Mumbai.

 1995 - Mir Venezuela Jocelyn Aguilera Marcano was elected 'Miss World' 1995.

 1999 – Helen Clark becomes the first female Prime Minister of New Zealand.

 ^ 2000 - George Bush wins by 537 votes in Florida's vote count, George Bush Jr's claim to the US presidency after victory in Florida.

 2002 - Gennady V. Novitsky, Prime Minister of Belarus arrives in New Delhi on a visit to India.

 2004 - Juan Somavia, President of the International Labor Organization, arrives in New Delhi on a visit to India.

 2007 - Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf bids farewell to his military comrades.

 2008- Uttar Pradesh became the first state in the country to give the Sixth Pay Commission.

 2008 - The Central Government has given a green signal for a three-fold increase in the salary of the judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts.

 ^ 2014 - Australian cricketer Philip Hughes dies after being injured by a bouncer.

 2019 - Cartosat-3, the country's state-of-the-art geo-observational satellite, was successfully sent into polar orbit;  13 nano satellites from America were also sent together.

 ^ 2019 - Special tribunal in Bangladesh sentences seven convicts to death for 2016 cafe terror attack.

 2019 - Sheikh Khalifa bin-Zayed-al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, ordered the release of six hundred and 62 prisoners.

 2020 - Bilateral level talks were held between the Defense Ministers of India and Vietnam via video conferencing.

 2020 - India and the United Arab Emirates reviewed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

 2020 - Cambridge Dictionary names the word 'quarantine' as the Word of the Year 2020.
