1) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on August 23 will launch the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP), which will list out the government's infrastructure assets to be sold over the next four years.
➨ The NMP comprises a four-year pipeline of the central government's brownfield infrastructure assets. Besides providing visibility to investors, NMP will also serve as a medium-term roadmap for the asset monetisation initiative of the government.

5) Amit Khatri won a silver in men's 10,000m race walk event to clinch India's second medal at the World U-20 Athletics Championship.
6) Facebook India announced a new programme called the "Small Business Loans Initiative", in partnership with online lending platform Indifi, to help small and medium businesses (SMBs) that advertise on Facebook to get quick access to credit through independent lending partners.
➨ India is the first country where Facebook is rolling out this programme. It is open to businesses registered across 200 towns and cities of India.
