❇️ ईज़ ऑफ़ लिविंग इंडेक्स 2020 जारी

बेंगलुरू, आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी द्वारा जारी सरकार के ईज ऑफ लिविंग इंडेक्स (Ease of Living Index) 2020 में शीर्ष शहर के रूप में उभरा है। 111 शहरों में से पुणे दूसरे और अहमदाबाद तीसरे स्थान पर था। स्मार्ट सिटीज़ प्रोग्राम के तहत कुल 111 शहरों ने, 2020 में किए गए मूल्यांकन अभ्यास में भाग लिया।

▪️ ईज ऑफ लिविंग इंडेक्स (Ease of Living Index) 2020 में निम्नलिखित दो श्रेणियों में शहरों को स्थान दिया गया है:

• मिलियन+ (Million+) आबादी वाले शहर :- जिनकी आबादी एक मिलियन से अधिक है।

• मिलियन से कम (Less than Million) आबादी वाले शहर :- जिनकी आबादी एक मिलियन से कम है।

• "डेटा चुनौती (data challenge)" के कारण पश्चिम बंगाल से कोई शहर शामिल नहीं किया गया है।

▪️ मिलियन+ श्रेणी (Million+ category) :

• बेंगलुरु इस श्रेणी में शीर्ष प्रदर्शनकर्ता के रूप में उभरा।

• इसके बाद क्रमशः पुणे, अहमदाबाद, चेन्नई, सूरत, नवी मुंबई, कोयंबटूर, वडोदरा, इंदौर और ग्रेटर मुंबई का स्थान रहा।

▪️ मिलियन से कम श्रेणी (Less than Million category) :

• इस समूह में, शिमला को ईज़ ऑफ़ लिविंग में सर्वोच्च स्थान दिया गया था।

• इसके बाद भुवनेश्वर, सिलवासा, काकीनाडा, सलेम, वेल्लोर, गांधीनगर, गुरुग्राम, दावणगेरे और तिरुचिरापल्ली थे।

▪️ ईज़ ऑफ़ लिविंग इंडेक्स (Ease of Living Index (EoLI) :

• EoLI आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्रालय द्वारा मूल्यांकन उपकरण है, जो शहर में शहरी विकास के लिए जीवन की गुणवत्ता और विभिन्न पहलों के प्रभाव का मूल्यांकन करता है।

• यह जीवन स्तर, एक शहर की आर्थिक क्षमता, और इसकी स्थिरता और लचीलेपन के आधार पर भारत भर में भाग लेने वाले शहरों की व्यापक समझ प्रदान करता है।

• यह एक नागरिक धारणा सर्वेक्षण के माध्यम से शहर प्रशासन द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली सेवाओं पर निवासियों के दृष्टिकोण को भी शामिल करता है।

Bengaluru has emerged as the top city in the Ease of Living Index in 2020, released by Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs. Out of 111 cities, Pune was second and Ahmedabad was third. A total of 111 cities participated in the assessment exercise conducted in 2020 under the Smart Cities Program.

Ease Ease of Living Index 2020, cities are ranked in the following two categories:

• Cities with a population of Million + (Million +): - whose population is more than one million.

• Cities with a population less than million: - whose population is less than one million.

• No city from West Bengal has been included due to "data challenge".

Illion Million + category:

• Bengaluru emerged as the top performer in this category.

• It was followed by Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Surat, Navi Mumbai, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Indore and Greater Mumbai respectively.

Less than Million category:

• In this group, Shimla was ranked highest in Ease of Living.

• It was followed by Bhubaneswar, Silvassa, Kakinada, Salem, Vellore, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Davangere and Tiruchirappalli.

Ease Ease of Living Index (EoLI):

• EoLI is an assessment tool by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, which evaluates the quality of life and the impact of various initiatives for urban development in the city.

• It provides a comprehensive understanding of participating cities across India based on the standard of living, economic potential of a city, and its stability and resilience.

• It also incorporates residents' perspectives on services provided by the city administration through a citizen perception survey.
