भारतीय सूचना सेवा के वरिष्ठा अधिकारी जयदीप भटनागर ने प्रेस सूचना ब्यूरो (पीआईबी) के प्रधान महानिदेशक का पदभार संभाल लिया है। जयदीप भटनागर ने पत्र सूचना कार्यालय के प्रधान महानिदेशक के पद से रिटायर हुए केएस धतवालिया का स्थान लिया है। भटनागर 1986 बैच के भारतीय सूचना सेवा के अधिकारी हैं। वे इससे पहले दूरदर्शन में वाणिज्यिक और विपणन प्रभाग के प्रमुख के रूप में सेवाएं दे चुके हैं।

रूसी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी रोस्कोसमोस ने अपने पहले आर्कटिक-निगरानी उपग्रह को सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया है जो आर्कटिक की जलवायु और पर्यावरण की निगरानी करेगा। यह उपग्रह मौसम संबंधी समस्याओं के साथ-साथ जल विज्ञान समस्याओं को हल करने के लिए आवश्यक जानकारी एकत्र करेगा। यह उपग्रह आर्कटिक क्षेत्र की जलवायु और पर्यावरण की निगरानी भी करेगा। यह रूस के उत्तरी क्षेत्र में भी चौबीसों घंटे सतत निगरानी प्रदान करेगा।

Senior Information Officer of the Indian Information Service Jaideep Bhatnagar has taken over as the Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau (PIB). Jaideep Bhatnagar replaced KS Dhatwalia, who retired as the Principal Director General of the Press Information Bureau. Bhatnagar is a 1986 batch Indian Information Service officer. He has previously served as the head of commercial and marketing division at Doordarshan.

The Russian space agency Roskosmos has successfully launched its first Arctic-surveillance satellite that will monitor the climate and environment of the Arctic. This satellite will collect information necessary to solve meteorological problems as well as hydrology problems. The satellite will also monitor the climate and environment of the Arctic region. It will also provide round the clock surveillance in the northern region of Russia.

Recently India and China have announced an agreement to establish a hotline between the two countries. The decision to establish a hotline between the two countries was taken during a telephonic conversation between the Foreign Minister of India and the Foreign Minister of China. The hotline will facilitate timely communication and exchange of ideas between the two countries. Recently there has been an agreement between the two countries on military withdrawal from the border, which will promote peace on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and eventually normalize the relations between the two countries.
