1.  President Droupadi Murmu yesterday said that India is committed to being a nation where Human Rights are not only protected but also celebrated.

Addressing Human Rights Day 2025 and the National Conference on Ensuring Everyday Essentials in New Delhi, the President emphasised that dignity is non-negotiable and that no one should be deprived of their rights.

2.  PM Modi urges citizens to join ‘Your Money, Your Right’ movement. Sharing a LinkedIn post, the Prime Minister said that it is a chance for citizens to convert a forgotten financial asset into a new opportunity.

He added that the initiative aims at enabling people to reclaim their unclaimed deposits, insurance proceeds, dividends, and other financial assets.

3.   The Election Commission said, more than 50 crore 96 lakh enumeration forms have been distributed among electors since the launch of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Phase-2. It is 99.98 per cent of nearly 51 crore electors that will be covered in this phase.

4.  Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that the safety of women is given top priority in the Indian Railways. He said this in Lok Sabha. under the Meri Saheli initiative, focused attention has been provided for the security of women passengers travelling alone by long-distance trains for their entire journey. 

5.  Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari  said that the nation is poised to become a hydrogen energy exporter within the next decade.

6.  India has achieved a major milestone in green mobility with the introduction of its first hydrogen-powered train, marking a significant advancement in sustainable rail technology. Developed entirely within the country, the train showcases Indian Railways’ growing capability in next-generation clean energy transport.

7.  The Centre has allocated more than 33 hundred crore rupees into the Nirbhaya Fund for the last five years. Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur informed this in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha. 

8.  The Rajya Sabha yesterday resumed the discussion on the 150th Anniversary of the National Song Vande Mataram. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had initiated the discussion on Vande Mataram. 

9.  Swahid Diwas: PM Modi recalls the valour of those involved in Assam Movement.  Swahid Diwas is observed annually on December 10 to honour those who sacrificed their lives during the Assam Movement – a mass agitation launched in 1979 by the Assam Students' Union (ASU) and the All Assam Gana Sangram Parishad (AAGSP) against large-scale infiltration from Bangladesh.

10.  The Bihar government has announced a new initiative aimed at accelerating the settlement of land disputes and improving transparency in land administration. The programme, titled ‘Bhumi Sudhar Samvad’, will begin on 12 December and offer citizens a platform to resolve documentation and ownership issues promptly.

11.  IIT Madras has inaugurated the IITM C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation, a national centre dedicated to advancing India’s quantum communication capabilities.

1.  The Delhi High Court questions Central government over IndiGo Flight cancellations and asked how such a situation was allowed to precipitate, with lakhs of passengers stranded at airports across the country. 

2.  The Supreme Court  reserved its verdict on bail pleas of Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam and others in the UAPA case related to the alleged conspiracy behind the February 2020 riots in Delhi.

3.  The CBI has filed a charge sheet against two Chinese nationals who were allegedly the masterminds of the HPZ Token Investment Fraud case. 

The CBI has alleged that Shigoo Technology Pvt. Ltd., owned and controlled by Chinese, allegedly cheated the public during the COVID-19 lockdown using a fake mobile application titled HPZ Tokens. The company claimed that investments would be used for cryptocurrency mining and would yield very high returns.

4.  Karnataka has introduced a comprehensive legislative proposal to curb rising incidents of hate speech and hate crimes, presenting the Karnataka Hate Speech and Hate Crimes (Prevention) Bill, 2025 in the state assembly. The Bill outlines broad definitions, strict penalties, and new regulatory powers, while raising public concerns about whether private conversations fall within its scope.

Owners of Goa’s Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub that caught fire killing at least 25 people, yesterday failed to get interim relief from a Delhi court. Owners of the nightclub, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, in their plea sought transit anticipatory bail for a hearing.

The District Magistrate of South Goa has issued a strict order prohibiting the use, bursting, ignition, or operation of fireworks, pyrotechnic devices, sparklers, flame effects, smoke effects, and any similar fire or smoke-producing devices inside tourist establishments across the district.

1.  The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has raised its growth forecast for India to 7.2 per cent, up from 6.5 per cent, for the financial year 2025-26, according to its Asia and Pacific Growth Outlook report.

1.  Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi met Commander of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen, during his ongoing visit to Brazil. 

India and Brazil discussed naval cooperation, focused on operational engagements, training exchanges, hydrographic collaboration and avenues for enhancing Maritime Domain Awareness.

2.  India and Brazil have formalised a major defence partnership with the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding involving the Indian Navy, the Brazilian Navy, and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL). The agreement aims to strengthen long-term maintenance support for Scorpène-class submarines and expand naval cooperation between the two nations.

3.  Surya Kiran 2025 Exercise Concluded: The Indian Army successfully concluded the 19th edition of Exercise Surya Kiran 2025 with the Nepal Army in Uttarakhand. This bilateral training exercise strengthens military cooperation between the two nations.

4.  Russia offered the 20-megawatt class M-90FR marine gas turbine for Indian Navy warships with full technology transfer, digital twin maintenance tools, and an Indian assembly line. The offer aims to achieve 70% indigenization within 5 years and replace Ukrainian engines affected by supply chain disruptions.

5.  Project Kusha 10 Squadron Procurement: The Indian Air Force clarified it will procure all 10 sanctioned squadrons of the indigenous Project Kusha air defense system regardless of any additional S-400 purchases from Russia. Each Kusha squadron will field eight launchers and about 150 missiles, totaling nearly 1,500 missiles across 10 squadrons, with BEL and Bharat Dynamics preparing production lines capable of 400 missiles annually.

6.  Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is preparing to hand over the first seven production-standard Tejas Mark 1A fighter jets to the Indian Air Force before the end of the financial year by March 2026. 

7.  Tejas MK2 Pre-Flight Calibration Phase: Aeronautical Development Agency has begun the pre-flight calibration phase for the Tejas MK2, marking a major step toward its first test flight. ADA issued a tender focused on updating aircraft aerodynamic and engine models.

5.  Thirty three Indian fishermen were freed from Sri Lankan prisons. The fishermen from Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Kottaipattinam and Rameswaram who were in Sri Lankan prisons were arrested on 3rd November.
