■ निराला कि सर्वप्रथम कविता ‘जूही की कली’ है जो सन 1916 में प्रकाशित हुई परंतु डॉक्टर राम विलास शर्मा के मतानुसार इनकी सर्वप्रथम कविता ‘भारत माता की वन्दना’ है जो सन 1920 ईसवी में प्रकाशित हुई।

■ निराला ने कवित्त को हिंदी का जातीय छंद कहा है।

■ द्विवेदी क़ालीन कवियों में निराला को सर्वाधिक विरोध का सामना करना पड़ा

■ निराला विवेकानंद जी को अपना आध्यात्मिक गुरु मानते थे

■ डॉक्टर राम विलास शर्मा ने निराला को ओज एवं औदात्य का कवि कहा है

■ गंगा प्रसाद पाण्डेय ने ‘महाप्राण निराला’ आलोचना पुस्तक लिखकर निराला को ‘महाप्राण’ नाम दिया।

■ निराला को छायावाद का कबीर भी कहा जाता है।

Surykant Tripathi "Nirala"

Nirala's first poem is 'Juhi ki Kali' which was published in the year 1916 but according to the opinion of Dr. Ram Vilas Sharma, his first poem is 'Bharat Mata ki Vandana' which was published in the year 1920 AD.

Nirala has called the poem the caste verse of Hindi.

Nirala had to face the most opposition among the poets of the Dwivedi era.

Nirala considered Vivekananda as his spiritual guru.

Dr. Ram Vilas Sharma has called Nirala a poet of light and grace.

Ganga Prasad Pandey wrote a criticism book 'Mahapran Nirala' and named Nirala as 'Mahapran'.

Nirala is also called Kabir of Chhayavad.
