▪️आपका जन्म अल्मोड़ा (उत्तराखंड) के कौसानी (Kausani) गाँव में 20 मई 1900 को हुआ था। आप 1955 से 1962 तक आकाशवाणी से जुडे रहे और मुख्य-निर्माता के पद पर कार्य किया। 28 दिसम्बर 1977 को आपका निधन हो गया। आप हिंदी साहित्य में छायावादी युग के प्रमुख स्तंभों में से एक हैं। 

▪️परमुख कृतियां : वीणा, उच्छावास, पल्लव, ग्रंथी, गुंजन, लोकायतन पल्लवणी, मधु ज्वाला, मानसी, वाणी, युग पथ, सत्यकाम। आपकी सबसे कलात्मक कविताएं 'पल्लव' में संकलित हैं, जिसमे ३२ कविताओं का संग्रह है।

▪️परस्कार/सम्मान : "चिदम्बरा" के लिये भारतीय ज्ञानपीठ, लोकायतन के लिये सोवियत नेहरू शांति पुरस्कार और हिन्दी साहित्य की इस अनवरत सेवा के लिये उन्हें पद्मभूषण से अलंकृत किया गया।

Samitranandan Pant

You were born on 20 May 1900 in Kausani village of Almora (Uttarakhand). He was associated with All India Radio from 1955 to 1962 and worked as the Chief Producer. You died on 28 December 1977. You are one of the major pillars of the Chhayavadi era in Hindi literature.

Major works: Veena, Uchhavas, Pallava, Granthi, Gunjan, Lokayatan Pallavani, Madhu Jwala, Manasi, Vani, Yuga Path, Satyakama. Your most artistic poems are compiled in 'Pallava', a collection of 32 poems.

Award / Honor: Indian Jnanpith for "Chidambara", Soviet Nehru Peace Prize for Lokayatan and for this relentless service to Hindi literature, he was decorated with Padma Bhushan.
