हर साल, विश्व बाल श्रम निषेध दिवस (World Day against Child Labour) 12 जून को मनाया जाता है। इसे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था। विश्व बाल श्रम निषेध दिवस 2002 में शुरू किया गया था।

बाल श्रम के खिलाफ विश्व दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष 12 जून को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन (ILO) के अनुसार, विश्व स्तर पर लगभग 152 मिलियन बच्चे बाल श्रम में लगे हुए हैं, जिनमें से 72 मिलियन बच्चे खतरनाक काम में हैं। बाल श्रम के खिलाफ इस वर्ष का विश्व दिवस बाल श्रम के उन्मूलन के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वर्ष 2021 के लिए की गई कार्रवाई पर केंद्रित है।

📌 थीम व विषय 2021 :

इस वर्ष बाल श्रम के खिलाफ विश्व दिवस (World Day against Child Labour) 2021 की थीम व विषय ➛ Act now: End child labour! हैं। बाल श्रम के सबसे बुरे रूपों पर ILO के कन्वेंशन नंबर 182 के सार्वभौमिक अनुसमर्थन के बाद से यह पहला विश्व दिवस है और यह ऐसे समय में होता है जब COVID-19 संकट समस्या से निपटने में प्रगति के वर्षों को उलटने की धमकी देता है।

💢 मुख्य बिंदु:

काम में लगे 5 से 17 वर्ष के आयु वर्ग के बच्चे सामान्य बचपन, उचित स्वास्थ्य देखभाल, पर्याप्त शिक्षा, खाली समय और बुनियादी स्वतंत्रता से वंचित हो जाते हैं। बाल श्रम के खिलाफ विश्व दिवस को चिह्नित करने का मूल उद्देश्य यही है।

इस दिन का उद्देश्य दुनिया भर के लोगों के ध्यान में बाल श्रम की समस्या को लाना भी है। बाल श्रम अक्सर वेश्यावृत्ति (Prostitution) और मादक पदार्थों (Narcotics) की तस्करी से जुड़ा होता है।

श्रम कार्यों में शामिल 10 में से 9 बच्चे एशिया, अफ्रीका और प्रशांत क्षेत्र में हैं। निम्न आय वाले देशों में बाल श्रम का प्रतिशत सबसे अधिक है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन (International Labor Organization) के अनुसार, अफ्रीका में दुनिया में सबसे अधिक बाल श्रमिक हैं। यह दुनिया में बाल श्रम का पांचवां हिस्सा है।

🦠 COVID-19 संकट :

COVID-19 संकट के दौरान बाल श्रम का मुद्दा बढ़ रहा है। इसका मुख्य कारण यह है कि बच्चे स्कूल से बाहर हैं और उनके हानिकारक कार्यों में संलग्न होने की अधिक संभावना है। चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन इंटरनेशनल का कहना है कि वैश्विक आबादी का एक तिहाई हिस्सा COVID-19 संकट के कारण प्रभावित हुआ है और 1.5 बिलियन बच्चे इससे प्रभावित हुए हैं।

Every year, World Day against Child Labor is observed on 12 June. It was launched by the International Labor Organization. World Child Labor Prohibition Day was started in 2002.

The day also aims to bring the problem of child labor to the attention of people all over the world. Child labor is often associated with prostitution and drug trafficking.

Nine out of 10 children involved in labor work are in Asia, Africa and the Pacific. Low income countries have the highest percentage of child labor. According to the International Labor Organization, Africa has the largest number of child laborers in the world. It accounts for one fifth of child labor in the world.

COVID-19 Crisis :

The issue of child labor is on the rise during the COVID-19 crisis. This is mainly because children are out of school and are more likely to engage in harmful actions. Child Helpline International says that a third of the global population has been affected by the COVID-19 crisis and 1.5 billion children have been affected by it.
