हाल ही में, WHO ने कोरोनावायरस के B.1.617.2 स्ट्रेन को ‘डेल्टा’ वेरिएंट के रूप में टैग किया, जो अब और बदल गया है। डेल्टा संस्करण के उत्परिवर्तित (mutated) रूप को “Delta Plus” या “AY.1” संस्करण कहा जा रहा है।

• डेल्टा संस्करण की पहचान भारत में कोरोनावायरस संक्रमण की दूसरी लहर के कारकों में से एक के रूप में की गई थी।

• प्रारंभिक आंकड़ों से पता चला है कि, डेल्टा प्लस संस्करण में मोनोक्लोनल एंटीबॉडी कॉकटेल उपचार के खिलाफ प्रतिरोध है, जिसे हाल ही में केंद्रीय औषधि मानक नियंत्रण संगठन (CDSCO) द्वारा COVID-19 उपचार के लिए अधिकृत किया गया था।

🦠 डेल्टा प्लस वेरिएंट (Delta Plus Variant) :

कोरोनावायरस के वेरिएंट B.1.617.2.1 को AY.1 के रूप में जाना जाता है। भारत में अब तक 6 जीनोम में डेल्टा प्लस वेरिएंट की पहचान की गई है। स्वास्थ्य एजेंसी ने नए K417N म्यूटेशन के साथ डेल्टा वेरिएंट के 63 जीनोम की मौजूदगी की भी पुष्टि की है। हालांकि, चिंता का कोई तात्कालिक कारण नहीं है क्योंकि भारत में डेल्टा प्लस वेरिएंट का प्रचलन अभी भी कम है।

🗣 दुनिया भर में मामले :

रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, इंग्लैंड में डेल्टा प्लस वेरिएंट के 36 मामले सामने आए हैं। अधिकांश मामले नेपाल, मलेशिया, तुर्की और सिंगापुर की यात्रा से जुड़े थे।

What is the AY.1 variant of Coronavirus?  🤔

 Recently, WHO tagged the B.1.617.2 strain of coronavirus as a 'delta' variant, which has changed further.  The mutated version of the Delta Edition is referred to as the "Delta Plus" or "AY.1" version.

 Key Points:

 • The delta variant was identified as one of the factors in the second wave of coronavirus infections in India.

 • Preliminary data has shown that the Delta Plus variant has resistance against the monoclonal antibody cocktail treatment, which was recently authorized by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) for COVID-19 treatment.

 Delta Plus Variant :

 Variant B.1.617.2.1 of Coronavirus is known as AY.1.  So far, delta plus variants have been identified in 6 genomes in India.  The health agency has also confirmed the presence of 63 genomes of the delta variant with the new K417N mutation.  However, there is no immediate cause for concern as the Delta Plus variant is still in low circulation in India.

 Cases around the world :

 According to reports, 36 cases of Delta Plus variants have been reported in England.  Most of the cases were linked to travel to Nepal, Malaysia, Turkey and Singapore.
