🔺कंसल्टेंसी फर्म EY द्वारा जारी 58वें रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी कंट्री अट्रैक्टिवनेस इंडेक्स (RECAI) में भारत ने तीसरी रैंक बरकरार रखी है।

🔺RECAI अपने नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा निवेश और तैनाती के अवसरों के आकर्षण के आधार पर विश्व के शीर्ष 40 बाजारों (राष्ट्रों) को रैंक करता है।

🔺अमेरिका और चीन क्रमश: पहले और दूसरे स्थान पर हैं।

अक्षय उर्जा या नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा 

(अंग्रेजी:Renewable Energy) में वे सारी उर्जा शामिल हैं जो प्रदूषणकारक नहीं हैं तथा जिनके स्रोत का क्षय नहीं होता, या जिनके स्रोत का पुनः-भरण होता रहता है। सौर ऊर्जा, पवन ऊर्जा, जलविद्युत उर्जा, ज्वार-भाटा से प्राप्त उर्जा, बायोगैस, जैव इंधन आदि नवीनीकरणीय उर्जा के कुछ उदाहरण हैं। भारत में है

अक्षय ऊर्जा का महत्व

ऊर्जा आधुनिक जीवन शैली का अविभाज्य अंग बन गयी है। ऊर्जा के बिना आधुनिक सभ्यता के अस्तित्व पर एक बहुत बडा प्रश्न-चिह्न लग जायेगा।

• ऊर्जा का पर्यावरण से सीधा सम्बन्ध है। ऊर्जा के परम्परागत साधन (कोयला, गैस, पेट्रोलियम आदि) सीमित मात्रा में होने के साथ-साथ पर्यावरण के लिये बहुत हानिकारक हैं। दूसरी तरफ ऊर्जा के ऐसे विकल्प हैं जो पूरणीय हैं तथा जो पर्यावरण को कोई हानि नहीं पहुंचाते।
• वैश्विक गर्मी (ग्लोबल वार्मिंग) तथा जलवायु परिवर्तन से बचाव

अक्षय ऊर्जा स्रोत वर्ष पर्यन्त अबाध रूप से भारी मात्रा में उपलब्ध होने के साथ साथ सुरक्षित, स्वत: स्फूर्त व भरोसेमंद हैं। साथ ही इनका समान वितरण भी संभव है। भारत में अपार मात्रा में जैवीय पदार्थ, सौर ऊर्जा, पवन ऊर्जा, बायोगैस व लघु पनबिजली उत्पादक स्रोत हैं। २१वीं शताब्दी का स्वरूप जीवाश्म ऊर्जा के बिना निर्धारित होने वाला है जबकि २०वीं शताब्दी में वह उसके द्वारा निर्धारित किया गया था। पूरे विश्व में, कार्बन रहित ऊर्जा स्रोतों के विकास व उन पर शोध अब प्रयोगशाला की चाहरदीवारी से बाहर आकर औद्योगिक एवं व्यापारिक वास्तविकता बन चुके हैं

 India has retained the third rank in the 58th Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI) released by consultancy firm EY.

 RECAI ranks the top 40 markets(nations) in the world based on attractiveness of their renewable energy investment and deployment opportunities.

 The US and China are in first and second place respectively.
